Coinciding with the San Antonio celebrations taking place across Spain, Velez Malaga City Hall has announced a new museum experience that allows pets to enter with their owners.
The event will be held on Saturday, January 18th at multiple museums in town. Alicia Ramirez, Councilor for Culture, Heritage and Heritage, said of the fusion of “art and love for animals” that the event seeks to highlight. He also said, “We hope that many people who want to bring their pets will take advantage of this day.” Dogs, cats…we want owners and their pets to be able to tour our art room. ”
In Velez Málaga, residents will be able to allow their pets one day of admission at the following pet-friendly museums:
It is the Francisco Hernández Center for Contemporary Art (CAC), the Municipal Museum of Art. Velez Malaga (MVVEL) and the Holy Week Museum and Sara Cervantes.
Visitors and their pets will have the option to view art with their pets in areas normally off-limits, as well as participate in other events during the day.
A variety of activities will take place during the day, including a reading of Miguel Cervantes’ novel “Dialogue of the Dogs” in the MVVEL courtyard at 12 p.m. Cervantes will conduct a theater tour at the Cervantes house in the center of town, and the Teatro Carmen will present the play “Donkey” from 8 p.m., and the famous actor Carlos Hipolito will also take part in the performance.
